I definitely have a more editorial or documentary style of photography. I love to record the entire story ... not just setting up a pose for one image. I love the photos taken before the intended shot, or after - with real smiles or eye rolling or whatever *smile*. Posed images are super important, but they don't always tell the entire story ...
I edit in both LightRoom and PhotoShop ... and I really like to find out what my clients like. Desaturated, faded or high contrast, crisp images ... I mean, my style is always there ... but I want to make my client "oooh" and "ahhhh" over their images. I take and edit images that are for my clients ... I work for them.
But here's the truth - if you're wanting images that make you look like a RockStar, set up, propped, studio-lighted, Rolling Stone-cover images - then I'm probably not the one for you.
BUT - if you want someone to capture the realness of your family or the emotion of your event ... if candid photography tells your story best ... then I would love to be the one to do that for you.
